Over to Normandy

Sadly there are no known photographs of the movement of the 404th FG from Winkton to Normandy. However the 405th FG, also a P47 fighter group based at nearby Christchurch, did make a photographic record, and these USAAF photographs are reproduced here to give some impression of the move.
